Walden said she did not intend to give a long speech, preferring instead to give guests more time to connect with one another. She also praised the achievements of the creators and artists in attendance, noting that over the past year they had managed to create stories that truly stood out amid an overwhelming volume of entertainment production.
She added that Disney always carefully considers the people it chooses to collaborate with, and that seeing the room full of guests made her feel they represented the company’s ideal creative partners.
Walden also highlighted the presence of new faces, saying she was pleased not only to see longtime collaborators but also new partners who had recently joined Disney. She emphasized that the projects developed with them were meaningful and valued by the company, which takes pride in their work.
In closing, on behalf of Disney executives including Josh D’Amaro, Alan Bergman, John Landgraf, and Debra OConnell, she thanked the guests, calling them the very best of the best and deserving of recognition.
